The Earth is parched
She's crying out
She weeps to the Nations

The trees slump over in the wind
With sappy tears and wailing arms
They beg 'Give us the rain, so we may soak our limbs'
'Our seedlings will perish without ever leaving their cribs'

The rolling hills aren't laughing any more
Green is fading to brown
From here to Singapore

Because..........

They scorch the Earth
And rape Her pride
While sucking out the last
Animalistic scribe

As they sit and dream up their ways
We all crash and burn
While they laugh on the waves

The waves She has had to build
In order to try and save Her guild

But..........

History is Her mate
And He comes to step in
To wipe the slate clean
And make Her new again

This is supposed to be the inner mind of a Politician. How they're always conjuring new ways to lay waste to the land we all live on. For profit, for more land, for pussy, for the next best brand of cigar....

I distorted the bottom somewhat to show how, of course, their line of thinking is diluted. The background image by Shoofly, though, is what really ties it all together, imo. The dilapidated trees, & the sacrificial stage just set it off. I threw away the floor, & added a hellish plan, because in reality that's all the White House is. I blurred the sides, but kept the center in focus because Politicians are one minded. Yet, after all the monstrosity they think up, after all the turmoil us very few survivors live through.....the Earth replenishes Herself. Justice will prevail, & the natural righteousness of things will be set right.

Eventually........Which is where the eggshell & sweat come in. History repeats itself, well fine. So be it. But at least there's comfort in knowing that so will She.

I like it except for two things: The room isn't centered, & I'm not comfortable with the perspective. ALL advice & criticism is welcomed & needed, unless all you have to say is negativity....in which case, you can find yourself on the same dock as that Politician that went down in the fire.
